We are looking for an Animator to join us at Ubisoft Romania on the Assassin's Creed Franchise. As an animator, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting compelling, captivating and realistic animations that elevate the gaming experience for players and bring characters and worlds to life.
Main mission:
• Animate characters, cameras, and objects for real-time and and pre-rendered sequences.
• Deliver high-quality animation from scratch, pre-designed drafts, or motion capture footage.
• Create animatics and quick draft animations to test and validate ideas.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure animations meet both artistic and technical constraints.
• Integrate animations into the game engine.
• Participate in mocap shoots and integrate motion capture data into animations.
• Mentor and share knowledge with your team members.
• Report to the Lead Animator/ Technical Director to ensure all work aligns with the artistic vision, quality standards, and deadlines of the project.
Qualifications

• Showcase strong key-frame animation skills and mastery of foundational animation principles such as timing, weight, and posing.
• Proficiency in 3D animation software like MotionBuilder, Maya, Blender, or similar software.
• An understanding of character rigging, skinning, and motion capture techniques.
• Passion for game development and awareness of current trends in the industry.
• Ability to learn game engine tools and pipelines quickly.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, along with the ability to coach others.
• Very good English skills (written and spoken).
