IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT THIS ROLE
- Commercial social/digital forward art direction experience is important (commercial meaning, something aside from your private socials). We'll want to see this in your portfolio.
- Candidates must have integrated marketing agency experience.
- Video game campaign art direction/concepting experience would be great, but you should love video games - especially FPS games!
- Candidates must live within commutable distance of Hollywood, California as we occasionally meet as a team.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a freelance Senior Art Director with Gaming Marketing experience for our growing team. This role crafts and concepts brilliant creative and big ideas for integrated social campaigns supporting one of the world's largest video game organizations.
The appropriate candidate will love gaming, the internet, and partnering with creative teams to make cool stuff. We prefer someone with hands-on art direction experience with gaming marketing, but if you're a social forward art director who has worked for a marketing agency (and loves playing FPS video games), this may fit you.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Concept and design work for campaign-level branding and messaging for integrated gaming campaigns, emphasizing social and digital work.
• Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, and project managers to build out and plan campaigns.
• Work fluidly across channels and platforms.
• Assist teams with storyboarding/shot lists/creative direction
• Implement feedback received from internal and client teams
ABOUT YOU
• Award-winning or award-worthy integrated portfolio that shows craft and attention to detail - must have social media art direction experience, please
• A love for all things gaming. Specifically, first-person shooting games
• 6+ years art direction experience helpful, motion chops are great
• Proven experience developing campaign-level ideation
• Ability to shift the tone to serve multiple audiences on multiple video game franchises
• Able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines; organized, detail-oriented, and friendly
• Entertainment, agency, or game industry experience preferred
