THE ROLE

The Procurement Operations Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution and delivery of internal process and application projects for Live Nation's Global Procurement team.

The ideal candidate will possess superior project management and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and have the ability to establish solid working relationships with Global Procurement team members and stakeholders that participate in the P2P process.

This position must:
• Effectively align project timing, strategy, and objectives in order to execute projects and deliver agreed-upon outcomes on-time and on-budget.
• This role requires the ability to motivate team members of all levels to ensure successful project delivery.
• Be responsible for executing internal and stakeholder-facing process improvement initiatives as assigned.
• Support procurement transformation by leveraging available applications to their fullest extent (e.g., Oracle Procurement Cloud, Asana, Slack, SmartSheet, SharePoint, Box, LucidChart, etc.).

The Procurement Operations Project Manager will monitor and manage:
• Project performance, risk, cost and schedule
• Quality review and submission of all deliverables
• Vendors representatives and their performance, where applicable
• Stakeholder satisfaction related to projects.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Leads and inspires cross functional teams to achieve successful execution of procurement programs and to expand their functional knowledge and capabilities. Holds self and project teams accountable for high performance standards and coaches the team to effectively manage changing priorities.
• Acts as principal point of contact with senior Global Procurement leaders to assure their understanding of project status, fosters resolution of problems, and coordinates efforts across internal and external stakeholders as necessary to assure corrective action.
• Builds, develops, and maintains close team and stakeholder relationships, proactively addresses internal and external issues, and continually pursues open communications to strategically expand the Global Procurement's capabilities.
• Assures stakeholder satisfaction in terms of solution performance, delivery, cost and contracted scope as the primary point of contact for the key internal stakeholders and Global Procurement leadership. Provides sufficient details of program performance, risk assessments, and identification of opportunities for improvement.
• Conducts periodic Oracle Fusion Procurement program status review meetings with Global Procurement leadership to monitor program execution and collect program performance feedback, risk assessment inputs, and identification of opportunities for improvement.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Four-year college degree, preferably in a technical field
• At least 4 years of experience managing IT projects, including end-to-end experience for projects and programs of medium complexity spanning multiple stakeholder groups
• Success in managing multiple, small- to medium-sized projects simultaneously
• Experience in a Procure-to-Pay role, either operationally or as technical support, with a working knowledge of procurement processes
• Great communication skills and team player; works well with others
• Comfortable exercising judgment and using analytical skills in ambiguous situations
• Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture
• Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business users
• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure and technology
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment; proactive in seeking out information when necessary
• Experience working with supplier representatives to support the implementation and ongoing management of their applications
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as Asana, Slack, SmartSheet, SharePoint, Box and LucidChart; experience with Oracle Fusion Procurement Cloud or other Oracle procurement application highly preferred
• Skilled in negotiating and problem-solving with both internal & external stakeholders
