THE JOB:

Events Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of facility operations and maintenance, including but not limited to, front of house operations, preventive maintenance, third party contracting, limited governmental relationships, staffing, and ongoing venue set-up and tear-down.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO:
• Works directly with the Staff Supervisor to perform day of show duties
• Must ensure that all outstanding tasks are handled either personally or through delegation to other staff members when appropriate
• Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy
• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area and reporting any issues encountered
• Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members
• Create pre-shift sheet and relay information from management directly to staff
• Ensure proper line of sight maintenance by all staff at all points of guest contact as well as maintaining the security of Back of House areas
• Maintains and monitors records of all incident reports and investigates/manages all pending cases, including interviewing staff or other witnesses and attending arbitration hearings when necessary
• Responsible for all required governmental reports and files
• Coordinate with sustainability team and cleaning crew for accurate and timely staffing of all events and acting as liaison to payroll administrator.
• Along with sustainability captain, oversee waste diversion reporting and schedule timely pick up of all recyclables and landfill waste.
• Oversee chair conversions, ensuring that all are done as required by event set up/tear down timings.
• Maintain house pars for supplies and communicate with cleaning staff to ensure orders are placed in a timely fashion for the needs of the venue based on show calendar.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Candidate is a proven leader with strong management and communications skills
• Extensive knowledge of venue operations and facility management is required
• Minimum two years' experience as House/Operations Manager or a comparable role
• Along with venue General Manager - represent the company and facility in all political and community matters and acts as a liaison with local municipalities
• Must have demonstrated experience managing multiple departments with a large number of staff- ideally experience managing Security, Ticket Takers and Ushers
• Computers skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
• Experience using Workday or time keeping systems is a plus
