The Role:
• To make sure centralized accounting receives all necessary documentation to create accurate and efficient reports; to have verifiable and secure handling of cash in location (including, but not limited to the safe and deposits). To assist venue Finance Manager with instituting and maintaining accounting controls by daily maintenance of cash and reconciliation of daily sales.

Responsibilities:
• Manual check coding and tracking
• Accounting for band settlement payments
• Process all revenue receipts (e.g. Ticketmaster, box office, etc.)
• Support Finance Manager / Income Auditor as needed
• Month End reporting as needed
• Reconcile safe
• Issue banks to service staff
• Audit all checkouts
• Create credit card manifests
• Run ''end of night'' reports
• Reconcile petty cash
• Issue change as needed
• Daily deposit of cash
• Conducts research of credit card disputes
• Create banking manifests
• Complete band settlements
• Track party deposits
• Disburse, receive and log petty cash
• Audit staff banks
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required:
• 1-2 years experience with cash handling in a high-volume facility
• Basic comprehension in Accounting and Math
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate with staff and management
• Multi-task, meet tight deadlines and recognize and correct accounting errors
• High School Diploma
• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred:
• Previous experience with cash handling in a high volume facility
• Previous Retail, Restaurant or Music Hall accounting experience
• Previous experience with accounting procedures
• College Degree

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
• Work environment is fast-paced
• Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
• Tolerance of loud noises
