Job Description
The Orchard is looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting and Finance to join our Finance team.

What you'll do
• Office- first role, in office 4 days a week.
• This role will have a dual reporting structure reporting to The Orchard and an executive leader at Mass Appeal.
• You'll split your time working in between both offices that are located in close proximity.
• Assist in the month end close process, ensuring timely, accurate and complete submission of financial results.
• Manage the day-to-day finance operations including but not limited to month-end close, AP.
• Audit and review RoyaltyShare statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Present monthly flash reports that analyze financial performance and provide insights on key variances compared to budget, forecast, and prior year actuals.
• Producing ad hoc reports, research, calculations, and analytics as needed by Label Management and other partners.
• Provide support for projects (i.e. income analysis, royalty estimates).
• Prepare and post journal entries and artist account analysis, reconcile income and expense accounts, develop and prepare GL account reconciliations and analysis that help facilitate decision making and accurate reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly/quarterly/annual financial package.
• Assist in deal model analysis.
• Participate in finance integration projects from inception to implementation, including testing, note-taking, brainstorming, and designing solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and business impact. Assist in evaluating the design and implementation of new processes and controls.
• Assist with cash functions, accounts payable and T&E tasks.
• Work with external and internal auditors on local statutory audits, company group audits, business process audits, SOX compliance reviews, etc.

Who you are
• BS in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of accounting experience. CPA is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.).
• Experience with SAP, BPC, RoyaltyShare, QuickBooks and Looker is a plus.
• Experience in the music industry and record labels is a plus.
• Must be detail oriented with an ability to work independently, self-starter, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Must be a team player and motivated and proactive to learn and do.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
