Job Description
Penske Media is looking for talented visual storyteller to join the video team at The Hollywood Reporter as a Videographer/Editor in our Los Angeles office. The role is an integral part of our growing video department, shooting, creating and editing content for The Hollywood Reporter's website, social platforms and partners.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for entertainment news and interviews, documentary-style storytelling and editing, and bold, stylistic and creative ideas for visual media.

This is multi-faceted position involving editing short and long-form video, and shooting video content including red carpets, interviews in studio and in the field, video cover shoots, set visits, news & cultural events, festivals, branded partner content and our famed roundtable series. The candidate should be confident in capturing top-quality video and then turning around to edit footage into sharp and engaging video content.

Candidates need to be creative, collaborative, technically skilled and quality-oriented – and possess a positive attitude and enthusiasm towards their work. THR is looking for a team player who is comfortable shooting a straight news interview or directing a highly stylized production – and approach their job with care, always looking for creative ways to engage viewers, grow audience and make news.

Responsibilities:
• Shoot various video needs for THR, including but not limited to red carpets, in studio and field interviews, cover shoots, set visits, news events, roundtables, festival studios, and branded content
• Edit and deliver THR video features for digital and social platforms.
• Reformat and deliver video for various social media and partner platforms.
• Collaborate with producers and hosts in planning video shoots, and during editing & post-production Support THR event production needs
Maintain video equipment
• Digital media management

Qualifications:
• Should have at least at least 5-7 years of videography and editing experience in both long and short-form video.
• An eye for creative storytelling and creative shooting and editing
• Ability to operate a camera and audio for a solo shoot or work seamlessly with a team of videographers.
• Experience using Premiere for video editing and ability to create dynamic graphics for videos.
• Experience in editing creative, sophisticated, engaging entertainment video stories.
Self-starter who can work with and meet tight deadlines, occasionally working off-hours, late nights and weekends and willing to travel.
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop a plus

Typical wage range: $90k - $120k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
