Job Description
The Executive Director, Business Operations will serve as a key strategic partner to the Tennis Channel President and senior leadership, providing critical support in the planning, execution and oversight of special projects and initiatives. This role requires a proactive and versatile leader who can effectively navigate complex challenges, drive cross-functional collaboration, and align resources to achieve organizational goals. This Executive Director will keep skillful oversight on key business initiatives and their supporting working groups.

This role is based in our Santa Monica, CA office.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Interact with Department Heads to coordinate consistent expectations, assumptions and understanding amongst the various teams. Coordinate OKR updates at weekly senior staff meetings, prepare meeting agendas and coordinate with department presenters.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and key performance indicators to ensure successful project execution.
• Collaborate closely with the President to define and support existing strategic objectives and prioritize special projects aligned with operational priorities.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or roadblocks, and work with the President and department Heads to implement proactive solutions to mitigate issues.
• Assist with preparing documents and coordinate reports as required with key management for Quarterly meetings.
• Work closely with the President on potential mergers and acquisitions and serve as project coordinator with investment bankers, Finance, Corporate and Research. Prepare power point presentations and decks as needed.

Engagement and Communication:
• Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison between the President, department heads, and the various staff involved in supporting the company's key initiatives.
• Facilitate effective communication channels, ensuring timely dissemination of information, updates, and decisions to relevant parties.
• Support and foster our culture of radical transparency, trust, and collaboration across departments and teams involved in project initiatives.
• Identify issues that impede success and provide recommendations for solutions, fostering cross-group collaboration and synergies.

Resource Allocation and Management:
• Work closely with department heads and resource managers to allocate human, financial, and technological resources effectively to support project objectives.
• Optimize resource utilization and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements to maximize project impact while minimizing cost

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Establish robust mechanisms for tracking and evaluating project performance against established goals and benchmarks.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for the President and key stakeholders, highlighting progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.

Change Management and Organizational Alignment:
• Drive change management initiatives to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or organizational structures associated with special projects.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, championing best practices and lessons learned across the organization.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
• Ideally 7 plus years of total experience
• Proven experience minimum 3-5 years in a strategic leadership role, ideally as a Chief of Staff, Biz Dev or similar capacity within a corporate environment
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading complex projects or initiatives from conception to completion
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, varying personalities and deadlines effectively
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information

The base salary compensation range for this role is $135,000 to $150,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
