Marketing Producer

Job Description

The NewsWest 9 Marketing Department in Midland/Odessa, TX is in search of a bold, creative, curious person with exceptional community relations skills to join our Marketing Department! This Marketing Producer will write, shoot, design, edit and produce amazing content for NewsWest 9 on multiple platforms. In addition to the professional skills referenced above, our ideal candidate will be highly motivated, team oriented and have a positive attitude that is always willing to learn new skills. Candidates should have samples of their work (shooting, editing, and graphic treatments).

Responsibilities:
• Creates strategic marketing campaigns that are aligned with the NewsWest 9 brand
• Collaborates with internal departments (such as news) to ensure brand alignment with content
• Maintains writing, producing, designing, sound and video editing skills with new technology
• Conceptualize, Develop, Execute, Deploy Marketing assets for NewsWest 9
• Generate new business, community relationships and sales solutions for key clients that are in line with the NewsWest 9 brand
• Identify and recommend external marketing, social platforms, and digital opportunities

Job Requirements:
• BA or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in marketing, advertising or news preferred.
• Working knowledge in professional HD/4K videography equipment, including DSLRs & high-end cinema cameras - creative lighting techniques, audio mixing and motion graphic design.
• Knowledge editing with Adobe Premier Pro a plus.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects a plus.
• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & iWork: Pages, Numbers, & Keynote.
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to utilize data research to make tough and strategic decisions
• Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees
• Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with internal personnel and external partners and apply strategic thinking
• Ability to identify clear priorities and meet departmental, company and corporate goals

• Recommend external marketing opportunities to sample to new audiences.
• Ability to pitch and present concepts and campaigns to key clients
• Ability to write, shoot, edit and produce quality content
• Performs other duties as directed by Marketing Director
• Attends offsite company functions when appropriate/necessary
• Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
