Job Description:
Proven experience in an external communications or public relations role, ideally within the creative, technology, or media industries.
• Strong ability to influence and challenge senior leaders, coupled with a deep
understanding of the importance of strategic alignment in external communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in developing relationships with senior journalists, media outlets, and industry bodies, coupled with a strong network within relevant industries.
• A deep understanding of media trends and the evolving landscape of communication platforms, with an aptitude for leveraging innovative channels to maximize brand impact.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver under tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
• A collaborative spirit, with the confidence and professionalism to work across various levels of the organization, including global teams.
• Expertise in managing events, external partnerships, and client engagement initiatives that reflect the Technicolor brand's values and creative excellence
• Lead and manage local Corporate Communications and Public Relations initiatives, aligning with Technicolor Group's global communication strategy to
effectively position Technicolor India within the industry.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, including MDs, Studio Heads, Producers, and Marketing Executives, to shape and deliver impactful external messaging that reflects the organization's
vision and strategic priorities.
• Leverage exceptional interpersonal skills to influence and challenge senior leadership, providing strategic counsel on communication approaches that
amplify Technicolor India's brand reputation while addressing critical business
objectives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Corporate Communications strategy that enhances Technicolor's visibility across key platforms, ensuring alignment with global and local goals.
• Craft high-impact media and communication strategies, including writing and distributing press releases, to secure prominent coverage for Technicolor India's achievements, initiatives, and talent across trade and mainstream media.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key media contacts across creative production, advertising, VFX, technology, and other relevant industries to ensure consistent, high-quality
media relations coverage.
• Oversee the creation of content for external platforms, including websites, press releases, and social media, ensuring Technicolor India's voice is authentic and resonant with target
audiences.
• Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring Technicolor India's participation in
prestigious industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Drive proactive speaker pitching and participation,
securing a presence at forums like Cannes Lions, SXSW, Siggraph, and GDC.
• Identify and execute external initiatives, such as awards submissions, industry partnerships, creative showcases, and client engagement events, to enhance Technicolor's reputation as an industry leader in innovation and creativity.
• Collaborate with Technicolor Group's global team to ensure India-specific
narratives are seamlessly integrated into the company's overarching messaging while maintaining cultural
relevance and resonance.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership to refine approaches and achieve better results.
Who you are:
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role managing Marketing (and PR) • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in print and social PR • Strong relationships with regional media outlets
• Willingness to learn about industry trends and innovations
• Demonstrable ability to create a voice for a company and get buy in for it
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in PR and brand promotion
• Degree in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, or relevant field
• Creativity and strategic thinking to craft effective PR campaigns
• Demonstrable success both leading a team to generate market leading PR while creating comms yourself
• Familiar with the Creative industry and how it works will be a plus
• Commercial awareness, able to understand the ROI of various PR campaigns
• Strong stakeholder management skills
