POSITION OVERVIEW
The Temporary Manager, Feature Film Program is charged with planning and executing operational and administrative functions for Sundance Institutes Feature Film Program (FFP) and Producers Program activities.
Working closely under the Deputy Director, Feature Film Program and the Director, Producing & Artist Support, FFP, the Temporary Manager supports Sundance Institutes commitment to identifying and nurturing emerging screenwriters, directors and producers through Labs, Intensives, educational programming, granting, and industry networking to advance artists creative and professional development.
This temporary position works full time from Monday, January 6, 2025 through Friday, March 28, 2025. Extended hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends will be required at key points. This position's work may be executed remotely from within any of our operated states.
Top priorities include but are not limited to
• Supporting management of the Producers Track review and selection process, including overseeing the tracking of submissions, participating in weekly review meetings, managing applicant communications, and evaluating submissions.
• Managing year-round communications with Producing Fellows including scheduling and supporting monthly cohort gatherings as well as providing creative feedback on work-in-progress screenplays and project advancement strategy.
• Managing annual Producers Fellowship (virtual) industry meetings, including scheduling and communications with industry executives and fellows.
• Supporting planning of the virtual 2025 Sundance Film Festival Producers Orientation.
• Supporting planning of the 2025 Sundance Film Festival Producers Celebration, including managing communications and logistics with the event keynote speaker and Amazon MGM Studios Producers Award Winner.
• Tracking new producers and financiers premiering work at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
• Supporting the build and testing process for the FY26 Development Track application.
• Conducting outreach, including building and tracking a list of artists and directly contracting them for the FY26 Development Track application.
• Providing administrative support for the Screenwriters Intensive held in early March 2025.
• Contributing to a year-round continuum of support for FFP artists, including reading scripts and providing feedback, project deck review, and strategic industry introductions.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 3 years administrative support, project coordination, or similar transferable experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording, tracking, and issuing information, including ability to prioritize.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products and Airtable. Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Strong interest in independent film, arts administration, or a nonprofit career.
• Experience evaluating feature screenplays in development and writing coverage.

• Provide thoughtful, specific verbal and written feedback on works-in-progress, whether at the script or rough cut stage.
