Summary of Position

The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for the day to day maintenance and troubleshooting of multiple commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and SaaS applications. They will be responsible for analyzing issues and providing solutions to the end-users of the applications. They will Install, debug, administer and support these applications. At times, they may need to modify the applications including, coding, testing, and debugging to support their successful use by organization. They will identify and implement automation where needed to streamline business and technical processes The Senior Automation Engineer will need to work closely with the user community to ensure that the systems are meeting the needs of the business.

Responsibilites
• Supports, Maintains and troubleshoots commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and SaaS applications.

• Installs, and configures applications that reside on both Window servers, desktops, and Citrix.

• Works with internal customers to determine product requirements for possible selection, upgrades, integration, and general support.

• Actively seeks improvement in software reliability, supporting processes and software strategy.

• Provides end-user training and support for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and SaaS applications.

• Implements or creates new modules based on business needs.

• Identifies and implements automation to streamline business and technical processes.

• Performs data import, export and integration activities.

• Manages and performs periodic upgrades to ensure software stays current.

• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

• 4+ years of related experience

• Strong experience with core business software applications

• Experienced in software development practices and techniques

• Experienced with SQL Server and Relational Database technology

• Experienced in Windows Server, Desktops, and network technology

• Understands cloud computing concepts, primarily related to AWS

• Experience in business concepts and practices

• Possesses strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Excellent customer service skills, which includes good written and oral communication abilities

• Must be available after hours and weekends as necessary and carry a mobile device with the potential for rotating on-call duty
