Summary of Position

As a Sr. Test Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading test teams and establishing industry best practices in software assurance at STARZ. Specifically, you will lead the development of regression and new release functionality tests for regularly scheduled releases. You will work with development teams to create and execute sprint iteration and release testing. You will develop regression tests for existing Content Supply Chain applications. The Sr. Test Engineering Manager documents and participates in functional requirements development and documentation.

Responsibilities
• Create a comprehensive test strategy that captures the scope of testing and encompasses critical components including environments, defect tracking tools, test status reporting, build schedules, manual vs automated test script execution, defect severity criteria, etc.

• Create a comprehensive test plan that captures the scope of testing and includes testing resources, iterations, and schedules

• Understand user requirements and create and execute viable test cases to ensure that software functions as expected

• Communicate with developers and end users to ensure that test cases are accurate, comprehensive, and documented correctly

• Develop positive and nonpositive path test cases to support user story functionality

• Track testing progress and results through accurate reporting and stakeholder communication

• Update related project documentation to reflect test results, including logging detailed test results, changes required as result of testing resolution, and processes required to support testing

Experience & Skills
• 6 or more years of automated test development experience (Javascript and/or C# preferred)

• 4 or more years of UI/Services testing frameworks like Cypress, webdriverIO, Postman, ReadyAPI or equivalent

• Ability to code testing scenarios, build automated test cases and debug existing unit tests and code

• Test development experience with MS Test, Nunit, scripting or similar tools

• Strong knowledge of web protocols like HTTP and RESTful web architecture.

• Strong knowledge of relational databases, xml, and json data structures

• Understanding of industry specific technologies like authentication, streaming video, and DRM

• Practical knowledge of SQL scripting and stored procedures

• Strong understanding of enterprise software and Service Oriented Architecture, Web Development, and software development technologies

Additional Qualifications
• Ability to create testing scenarios, develop automated test cases and debug existing code

• Strong knowledge of testing/development concepts such Continuous Integration and Deployment

• Strong skills in data and process analysis

• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to self-prioritize when needed to further the departments goals

• Experience in Agile / Scrum project development

• Outstanding communication skills – with ability to follow written and oral instructions in a highly dynamic environment

• Passion for learning, quality, and engineering excellence with proven track record for delivering quality software on-time

• Experience with Agile development environments, specifically Scrum and Kanban

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, and Zephyr preferred

• Media and Entertainment experience preferred
