Who are we hiring?
The Sr. Manager of Data Science will apply an understanding of statistics, probabilistic thinking, and economic theory to grow revenue across all Sphere Experience ticketing and hospitality products. The Sr. Manager of Data Science will collaborate across multiple departments (Data & Analytics, Revenue, Sales & Marketing, and Ticketing/Box Office) to extract meaningful insights from large datasets, build data-driven solutions, and ensure data integrity and compliance. The Sr. Manager of Data Science will leverage both technical and analytical skills to help optimize data pipelines, design scalable solutions, and implement best practices for data management and governance.
What will you do?
Work directly with the Data & Analytics stakeholders on the development, deployment, and evaluation of Sphere Experience occupancy models to maximize revenue.
• Work directly with Revenue stakeholders and 3rd party partners to build and maintain forecasting models to that optimize pricing and inventory strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to measure impact of campaigns and initiatives on future demand.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to design and build scalable and efficient data pipelines that integrate data from multiple sources.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Define and monitor data lineage, metadata management, and auditing processes.
• Assist in updating weekly ticket sales metrics to assess performance versus budget.
• Present complex analyses and concepts in intuitive ways to a non-technical audience across all levels of the company.

What do you need to succeed?
• Minimum of 5 years relevant or related work experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer or related role with a focus on data science, data engineering and data governance.
• Work experience working in Sports, Entertainment, Venue, Hospitality, or similar industry is preferred.
• Strong experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark or Airflow.
• Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and metadata management is required.
• Experience in at least one scripting language (Python or R) is required.
• Hands on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases is required.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data warehousing technologies
• Experience with Tableau is preferred.
• Experience with Ticketmaster operations and applications (TM One, Archtics, Host) is preferred.
• Strong marketing, communication and relationship building skills is required.
• Strong computer skills (Windows, and Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to think critically and provide analyses that add insights beyond the original request.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay Range
$96,000 - $165,000 USD
