Job Description
The VP, Enterprise Architect role, reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture is a change and strategic leader, who will be key to the uplifting SPE Architectural maturity and value by executing an effective Enterprise Architecture Program. This role will be responsible for developing and executing architecture strategies for the SPE enterprise with a focus on Data and Integration domains.

Core Responsibilities:
• Develop the Data/Analytics, Integration Strategies and platform architectures.
• Develop the Data Governance Operating Model
• Participate in Data Transformation Projects
• Support the EA Program Activities and Initiatives (Portfolio Rationalization, Capability Analysis, Target State Architecture, Architecture Review Board

Leadership & Influence:
• They will partner with multiple SPE stakeholders including IT and Business Executives, Architects, Application Developers, System Engineers, Information Security, Procurement, CDO, Legal and Privacy. They should also be able to work across Sony Global entities to align with Corporate driven strategies.
• They should also bring a demonstrated track-record of delivering highly matrixed programs through direct management and through indirect sponsorship where operating as a key stakeholder. This role requires an established leader who will be consistently effective across multiple programs and who will develop and maintain metrics to communicate program health aligned with business value delivered.
• As a change and thought leader, the role will be key to the driving and influencing stakeholders to adopt a cost effective, innovative and modernization mindset through setting architecture guidance, communication, and governance.

Requirements:
• BS/MS Data Analytics or Computer Science
• 15+ years in IT with a focus on Data, Security, Integration
• 8+ years of experience with technology delivery positions, analytics and reporting, and Datawarehouse/Lake
• 5 years' experience with Enterprise Architecture Program (Architecture Review Board, Pattern, Standards, Technology Catalog, Business Application Portfolio Rationalization, Change Management process, Risk Management)
• 5+ years of experience with data engineering/modeling, consulting/training skills, information security, data governance, architecture strategy development and executive communication
• AWS/GCP/Azure Certifications preferred
• Experience using Collibra, SAP Datasphere, Erwin, Excel, Java, Python, LLM, Informatica, Datastage, Alteryx, Jira, ServiceNow, Sharepoint, Confluence
• Reporting & Analytics Skills (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
• Datawarehouse/Lake engineering skills
• 2 years understanding data mesh architecture
• Data Modeling skills to represent organization data
• Strong collaboration skill at building cross-functional team
• Effective presentation skills capable of addressing executive as well as technical audiences

Industry Experience:
• Media and Entertainment with experience in modern data management methods. Banking/Finance/Healthcare/Retail background acceptable

Technical Skills:
• The successful candidate for this role will be a seasoned Enterprise Architect with cross domain skills and have practiced modern methods in depth in the Data, Analytics, and Integration domains with sufficient understanding of Cloud, Infrastructure, Security and Application domains.
• They will coordinate and develop the Data Architecture Strategy for SPE addressing data management, data platforms, BI and analytics and data governance.
• They should have participated in establishing data management capabilities such as metadata management, lineage, data governance, data discovery, data protection data quality.
• They should have experienced establishing data ownership/stewardship/custodianship and be able to advise the creation of the data ownership model and responsibilities.
• They should have experience with data modeling and Information Architecture and be able to help curate information domains to enable federation of data governance responsibility (Collibra or comparable)
• They should have experience with data mesh and fabric architectures and bring best practices to implement (SAP Datasphere or comparable)
• They should understand AI/ML technology to mature the DataOps and MLOps capabilities.
• They should be able to develop robust business cases for investments in data technology.
• They should have Data Modeling capability and familiar with Enterprise Data concepts
• They should have been involved in engineering datawarehouses/data lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• They will work with the Integration Platform teams to define the target multi-cloud integration strategy and design patterns. They should be very public cloud and information security knowledgeable and be able to design secure solutions that span multiple clouds.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $266,000-$315,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
