Job Description
Sony Pictures Animation is seeking a Vice President, Creative to manage both the development and production of identified existing IP into multi seasons series. This includes but is not limited to scripted content for streaming, premium, and cable platforms.

Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. Responsibilities:
• Work within Sony Pictures Animation's Series team to drive the creative process of bringing episodes to life, while partnering with the Show Creators/Executive Producers, as well as internal departments including: Development, Production, Business Affairs, Casting, Digital, Marketing, Music, Post Production, Standards & Practices, and other departments as needed.
• Oversee the Development and lead the transition of projects to ongoing series production and then guide the creative vision going forward.
• Handle ongoing relationship with shows' Creators, EPs and Key Leadership
• Provide creative notes and influence series creative direction on behalf of the studio on all facets of the production process - including premises, outlines, scripts, casting, storyboards, animatics, rough cuts, design, music, and audio mixes
• Partner with show creators/EPs, Development and Production on key series staffing – for writers, directors, creative producers, lead designers, and composers
• Partner with production in problem solving creative, budgetary, and schedule issues
• Work alongside other executives to assess talent
• Distill the creative feedback of multiple parties (streamers/distributors, Sony executives) into a clear creative vision and direction for the shows and ensure it is delivered clearly to show creators, EP and key show leadership.
• Represent and serve as liaison for Sony Pictures Animation to maintain good and collaborative relationships with broadcasters/streamers

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8 years applicable experience
• Strong existing relationships with streamers/cable networks partner studios, producers, agents, etc.
• Overall understanding of the animation process both in development and production
• Strong creative and development skills
• Clear and effective communication with all levels of management
• Able to provide useful critique to show leadership as needed
• Flexible and able to work in a team environment

The anticipated base salary for this position is $191,000 to $249,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
