Job Description
The Studio Operations Group FP&A team is seeking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to support the Studio Operations Group (SOG) business.  SOG consists of Production Services, Post Production, and Post Media Center. Production Services orchestrates the rental of sound stages and production office/term deal space, along with providing set lighting/grip, transportation and wardrobe services to productions. Post Production provides audio mixing, editorial, scoring, ADR and Foley services to productions across their large and small format theaters. Post Media Center provides content distribution services including mastering/delivery, picture editorial, audio archive and content licensing. The majority of the SFA's responsibilities will be project-based, supporting and reporting directly into the SOG Finance Director. The ideal candidate should have a strong financial background and the ability to perform complex analyses in support of the SOG.

Responsibilities :  
• Develop and navigate complex financial models to derive key business insights in support of strategic business initiatives.
• Distill large volumes of data into executive-friendly summaries and visualizations to articulate the financial story behind management decision-making.
• Partner with SOG Operations to provide financial transparency and analytics in support of executive dashboarding and operational updates.
• Provide key forecast and planning guidance to SOG business partners and propose continuous budget/forecast process improvement opportunities.
• Own SOG's mid-range planning (MRP), annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, preparing revenue, cost of sales, G&A and capital projections.
• Prepare cost/benefit analyses in support of capital investment requests.
• Prepare ad hoc financial models and analyses to drive increased performance across the SOG businesses.
• Independently perform monthly actuals to budget/forecast variance analyses across each line of business and liaise with Accounting to ensure accurate postings. Set monthly financial review meetings with SOG operating department heads to understand business drivers of difference.
• Liaise with SOG Operations and I.T. to develop systems and tools to better manage the businesses.

Skills :  
• Strong knowledge of the media and entertainment industry, primarily production and post-production.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, capable of building DCF, NPV, ROI and ad hoc models.
• Strong organizational, project management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities, while meeting deadlines.
• Driven and self-motivated with high standards and excellent work ethic.
• Resourceful self-starter with the ability to problem solve with minimal executive guidance.
• Meticulous attention to detail and takes pride in work product.
• Exhibit strong understanding of finance and working knowledge of accounting concepts (GAAP/IFRS standards and compliance matters).
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills to liaise effectively and professionally within the organization and with external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to perform well both individually and as a team.

Qualifications :  
• Minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in analytical roles, preferably Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Business Planning and/or Consulting.
• Entertainment industry experience preferred; Big 4/Consulting experience a plus. 
• Data visualization, data analytics, Tableau, Power BI, Advanced MS Excel and Macro experience.
• B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Business, Mathematics or Economics preferred.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $75,000-$98,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
