Sr. Coordinator, Title Stewardship

This position works with production companies to retrieve, quality control, archive and disseminate SPT (Sony Pictures Television) International Production assets to support the licensing of scripted & non-scripted finished programming, licensing of non-scripted formats and supports production of scripted formats.

This person will work with producers around the world to support their post production process and troubleshoot delivery related issues related to SPT's international distribution requirements & technical specifications including working with productions to make corrections to their delivery materials to meet Sony quality & specification requirements.

Responsibilities
• Communicates SPT delivery requirements to SPT Production Companies and 3rd Party Producers. Addresses questions during post-production process to facilitate collection of final print assets per Sony delivery requirements.
• Management of Materials for Scripted & Non-scripted Finished Programming for Print sales – 50%
• Retrieves, QCs and troubleshoots technical issues with SPT Production Companies and 3rd party post-production contacts.
• Insures proper storage, and dissemination of finished programming assets to departments supporting the management and licensing of finished programming. These deliverables include but are not limited to: master files, music cue sheets, scripts, main and end credits, timing sheets, closed caption files and unit/gallery/episodic photography, synopsis, episodic synopsis, production & post production schedules, air date schedules, available promo materials.
• Works with the Sony marketing team to collect and store marketing assets in the appropriate Sony repository.
• Troubleshoots creation and retrieval & servicing issues working directly with Distribution, Business Affairs and/or Sony TV Mastering to resolve such issues.
• Leads master inventory of SPT Int'l Prod. Finished Programming Assets
• Works with IT on development/upgrade of SPE IT production asset management application for easier communication, delivery, dissemination of Sony print product – including masters, music cue sheets & scripts.
• Provide editorial support to create internationally cleared materials when needed – cut and lift uncleared content.
• Responsible for the creation & transmittal of screener files for the Sony screening room team to promote/aid the sales & distribution of international TV product.
• Management of Production Materials for Formats
• Works with 3rd party rights holders to collect scripted format production materials per format acquisition agreement.
• Collects all materials needed from Production Companies format owners of scripted series. Supports Director of Int'l Prod Asset Mgmt. with insuring proper archive of scripted format production materials to support scripted format licensing.
• Together with Director of Asset Mgmt and acquisition executive, identifies needs and cost creation of additional materials (e.g. arranges translations, marketing support, etc.) needed for format marketing/licensing. Handles all translation quotes, approval & fulfillment for the scripted development team in coordination with Distribution & Content Servicing.
• Handles master inventory of all SPT Int'l Prod. Scripted Formats Assets
• Production Information Management
• Supervises production & post production status on multiple programs and updates Production Status Site (PSS).
• Ensures PSS reflects up-to-date data. Generates and circulates monthly production status reports through PSS.
• Ensures assets on Sony repositories have good file naming/metadata and are properly stored and accessible to approved users.
• Provides training/access/troubleshooting to new users/production companies/productions for Sony applications.
• Supports productions access to the SPT available music libraries including set up of accounts to the libraries, and providing the production with the contacts for the music libraries to assist in their use of the music library as well as provide productions with the guidelines for the use/administration of the music libraries, including vital reporting requirements and music cue sheet requirements.

Knowledge & Skills
• Minimum of 3 years experience in television production business with working knowledge of deliverables process gained while serving as a post coordinator or other related field on a television series.
• Ability to work as a team with various studio departments is important
• Fiscal responsibility: Advises management
• Knowledge of: TV Series and Feature production/post processes, working knowledge of materials required for distribution of TV series & Features to clients worldwide.
• Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere
• Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
• SharePoint
• Mac proficient, PC literate
• Spanish speaking is a plus
• Multitask – work on several projects at the same time while keeping big picture goals in mind.
• International business experience/exposure preferred.
