The Special Projects Manager participates in planning and coordinating activities of departmental technology projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget requirements. This role works across functions within the technology and platform group to track, organize and present the multiple parallel development projects. Work with SMEs to define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects. Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management
The Special Projects Manager interface with everyone from project leads, to team members, to business units as you deliver various simultaneous, project initiatives. You will be the team's go-to, responsible for facilitating the delivery of team commitments through leading Scrum ceremonies, focusing on team efficiency and motivation, tracking and removing impediments, and promoting and influencing quality. Helping to define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress... reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
• Fluent in PMO methodologies and standards with planning, development & implementation experience. Experienced with both, Waterfall and Agile delivery methods and leading project execution in a complex matrix environment to deliver results for business, development and management stakeholders.
• Plan, schedule, and run regular meetings (e.g. daily team stand-ups and weekly client syncs)
• Plan and drive sprints in JIRA
• Develop and deliver custom reports on program outcomes and effectiveness
• Provide the team with regular reporting and project updates
• Manage expectations and relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders
• Support quarterly business review development and presentation
• Oversee scoping, timeline, budget, resources, and ongoing trajectory of projects
• Ensure technical documentation is created and maintained in accordance with program objectives
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is outgoing, dynamic and enthusiastic. This person has a demonstrated ability to network, build and maintain excellent relationships across multiple groups.
Responsibilities of this position include:
• Implementation and management of production processes and procedures
• Assist with managing project budget and updating budget with invoices etc.
• Assist the project team with project documentation such as meeting minutes, project schedule and plan.
• Assist the Product development team with preparing for the Steering Committee and Operating Committee meetings.
• Maintain the detailed tickets and log of all activity performed by the team.
• Establish and maintain a reliable and timely flow of information and materials to all parties as necessary
• Arranges/coordinates project status meetings, vendor meetings, and project meetings.
• Assist the Product development team with the monthly status reports and metrics tracking.
• Assists with special projects (i.e. spreadsheets, presentations, research, etc)
• Responsible for creating and maintaining project files.
• Copy, collate, and distribute project related documentation.

• Strong Microsoft Word skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills required.
