Sales Data Analyst - Digital Distribution
The Sales Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the Digital Sales Planning team by ensuring data accuracy between Digital retailer reports and our internal warehouse system (Business Objects), capturing title placement for New Media Accounts, providing title selections for account specific promotions, and uploading data actuals into the Commercial Tool. This role reports to the Director of Digital Sales Planning.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Data Management & Analytics
• Ensure data integrity by proactively monitoring and striving to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency within Sales Planning
• Submit iTunes' promotional skus into PRISM within a specified date
• Be an expert in digital data; understand data sources and nuances of each account
• Reconcile retailer reports including POS and Remittance reports with data in Business Objects
• Upload POS actuals into the Commercial Tool and ensure data accuracy
• Manage and ensure accurate audits, sku exceptions, and ad hoc requests
Reporting & Analysis
• Assist in the consolidation and aggregation of data across all Digital Accounts to report on sales performance
• Escalate key issues such as material variances between retailer reported data and Business Objects to the Director of Sales Planning and conduct detailed analytics to make appropriate recommendations
• Capture, analyze, and ensure accurate maintenance of title placement within each of the New Media accounts
• Assist in curating title selections for account specific promotions
• Coordinate with Sales Planning Analysts to ensure delivery of sales performance reports to the leadership team in a timely manner
Account Planning
• Assist Sales Planners by providing appropriate data needed for account level analyses
• Prepare presentation materials for account facing meetings, business reviews, and/or internal meetings
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Strong capability with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) is required
• Experience with analytical data systems used to pull and analyze sales data including, but not limited to, Business Objects, and account specific vendor data portals
• Consolidating and summarizing large data sets to facilitate decision making and strategic planning
• Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to learn new systems/databases
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with varying levels of management and with external customers
• Coordination and collaboration with internal departments as well as the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
PREFERRED CREDENTIALS
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics or relevant field is strongly preferred
• A minimum of 1 year relevant experience is required.
• Experience within the entertainment/consumer packaged goods industry collaborating with both internal and external sales and management teams is strongly preferred
