Junior Designer for Creative Center, Culver City

The Creative Center is the global hybrid internal agency within Sony Pictures Television that also services businesses across Sony Pictures Entertainment. The Jr Designer will evangelize the ''One Sony'' philosophy and elevate the brand vision, voice, strategy for all Sony IP, both new and existing. The purpose of this position is to provide ideation, creative and subsequent execution for all clients. We service a growing group of internal Sony Pictures Entertainment partners and projects including but not limited to Sony Pictures Television Studio and subsequent labels, Franchise Marketing, Sony Networks and FAST Channels, Games, Sony Global Marketing, PR, Corporate Comms, D&I, P&O, CPG, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, etc. Must master critical thinking, creative strategy and design. This position reports into the Creative Director and oversees and collaborates with other Creative Center team members across departments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Ideates strategic design solutions specifically in regards to both Sony original and acquired properties - is a great storymaker . Ideate branding initiatives for Sony Global Marketing that includes servicing global networks . Ideate 360 campaign solutions for Sony Pictures Television Studios and its labels. Service constituents from Franchise Marketing, D&I, P&O, Corporate, etc . ideating and executing brand ( B 2 B , D2C ) campaigns and deliverables . In addition, Jr. Designer must be able to work as a team member, but also be a resourceful self-starter. Must be an effective liason between various groups within Creative Center and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Must exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to see projects from concept through execution with minimal supervision. Jr Designer should exhibit impeccable presentation skills. Must have the ability to work seamlessly with other designers, producers, operations staff as well as external partners and vendors. Highly proficient working knowledge of Abobe Creative Suite, Keynote, PPT required. Proficient photoshop, illustration, typography, compositing for key art, mechanical skills a must. Proficient knowledge of various social platforms preferred. Is able to take creative direction and relishes collaboration and growth. Required to meet quick turnaround deadlines. Agency experience is a must.
• Jr Designer is a great communicator and is punctual. He/she maintains an efficient workflow and process and promptly communicates any issues regarding design and production to management. Accurately documents work related information via work orders, etc. Works hand-in-hand with Production and Operations. Manages assets and archives projects accordingly and understands delivery.
• Exhibit willingness to take on responsibilities outside of his/her job description and has the ability to respond to business demands in a fast-paced environment. Presents a positive and professional attitude to stakeholders and co-workers.
• Jr Designer is a great communicator and is punctual. She/he maintains familiarity with current culture, design and marketing trends, social platforms and the relevance of fans and audiences. Exhibits an innate sense of curiosity.

Requirements
• 1-3 years in design and production (digital, print, experiential, broadcast a plus)
• Strong proficiency using Adobe CC, PowerPoint/ Keynote experience a must
• Ability to manage projects from concept through execution
• Experience in branding initiatives
• Passionate about original, acquired and library content and global branding initiatives
• Experience creating design across broadcast, print, digital, experiential. Including but not limited to logo design, custom typography, illustration, exhibition design, etc.
• Experience in editorial, sonic branding, music, live action, 2D, 3D and VEFX is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, passionate storymaker, knowledge of social platforms, desire to learn and grow.
• Bachelor Degree in Fine Art, Graphic Design or Film (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to innovate, teamwork, multi-task, communication skills, time management and prioritization skills a must
• In addition to having a passion for all types of content, this individual also has their finger on the pulse of pop culture and social trends in design, marketing and advertising.
• Passionate about strategic branding and creative and the elevation of these brands.
• Interested in entering, creating and sustaining an informed dialogue with the fan base from existing platforms as well as discovering additional avenues to engage new audiences specifically regarding brand storytelling that is platform agnostic.
