Financial Analyst, Studio Operations Group, FP&A 

The Financial Analyst, Studio Operations is a key member of the Studio Operations FP&A team, primarily involved in multi-year strategic plans, project-based analyses and the consolidation and analysis of budgets and quarterly forecasts. Sony Pictures Studio Operations oversees the physical operation of motion picture and television production and post production facilities on the Culver City Lot. This role will drive value by creating and evolving planning models for businesses such as Set Lighting & Grip and Transportation, performing data analyses for production rentals and services and deriving key business insights.

Responsibilities: 
• Immersing yourself in the business to develop expertise
• Assist with the preparation of presentations, executive-friendly summaries and ad-hoc analyses
• Present recommendations to leadership based on your analyses and demonstrated understanding
• Support and update Studio Operation's multi-year strategic plans, budget and quarterly forecasts
• Learn and update financial models to provide key business insights
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely budget and forecast submissions
• Prepare ad hoc financial models and analyses to drive increased performance across the businesses
• Support the team and Studio Operations business partners to optimize the budget/forecast process
• Review monthly financial statements to understand key business drivers of actuals to budget/forecast variances

• Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with other Office 365 applications (SAP, Power BI, Tableau a plus)
• Independent worker and able to manage multiple deliverables

Qualifications: 
• B.S. or B.A. in Finance, Business, Mathematics or Economics preferred
• Strong PC skills, familiarity with Excel and other Office 365 applications
• Excellent time management, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
• 1+ years of experience working with financial statements and large data sets
• Self-motivated with high standards and attention to detail, along with an excellent work ethic
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate analyses into decisions and actions

The anticipated base salary for this position is $64,000-$80,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
