Job Description
Sony Pictures Television Studios (SPTS) is one of the industry's leading content providers, producing programming worldwide across genres and platforms. As the largest independent TV studio in the industry, SPTS produces 50+ shows each year including THE BOYS, COBRA KAI, THE GOOD DOCTOR, OUTLANDER, and PLATONIC. The Coordinator supports various teams needing access to existing video assets as well as assisting in the day to day project scheduling within the Creative Marketing team. This position reports to the VP, Creative Marketing. The Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling requests related to episode screeners (for press and award submission), asset sourcing/conversions and additional editorial support as needed. They will also assist in the day-to-day scheduling of creative projects ensuring the smooth running of department processes to keep the team on deadline. Working closely with the Manager/Producers and VP, Creative Marketing.

Responsibilities

Episodic screener requests:
• Clear and timely email communication that includes next steps and timelines (when possible).
• Understanding of post-production process and timings to access footage from appropriate sources and communicate potential issues.
• Fulfill on requests for screeners, accurately, punctually, and securely.
• Flag sensitive or unusual requests.

Day-to-day creative workload and workflow management:
• Includes creative projects assigned to digital/print designers, motion designers, editors, and assistant editors.
• Maximizes productivity among graphic designers, production artists, animators, editors, assistant editors and copywriters. Minimizes downtime for the team in coordination with Production.
• Ensures resources are suitably assigned to complete projects.
• Identifies and gathers all required assets for all assignments; ensures all assets meet specs associated with the project.
• Responsible for scheduling all projects and managing their timelines in coordination with Production.
• Ensures final delivery of all creative assets.
• Liaise with internal departments and outside agencies on developing, obtaining, circulating, delivering and approving assets.

Ability to juggle heavy workload and keep multiple projects on track.

Possesses excellent anticipatory skills.

Exhibits willingness to take on responsibilities outside of his/her job description and has the ability to respond to business demands in a fast-paced environment. Presents a positive and professional attitude to stakeholders and co-workers.

Great communicator and is punctual. Maintains an efficient workflow and process and promptly communicates any issues to management.

Accurately documents work related information in project management software, Manages assets and archives projects accordingly and understands delivery.

Qualifications
• 1-3 years in production in marketing services, creative service agencies, network promotions or a similar field (broadcast, digital, print, experiential a plus)
• Primary skills include: excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and collaboration, problem solving, time and project management
• Ability to manage projects from concept through execution unsupervised
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Passionate about original, acquired and library content and global branding initiatives
• Must have a full understanding of the design, interactive, video and broadcast production process with knowledge of digital streaming.
• Basic knowledge of non-linear systems
• Basic knowledge of digital and print workflows
• Mac and Excel experience a must
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, quick on their feet with ability to pivot
• Exceptional time management skills
• Ability to problem solve creatively
• Manages time appropriately and meets aggressive deadlines
• Quickly and easily adapts to changing mandates, priorities

Educational Requirements

Bachelor Degree from 4 year college or university

The anticipated base salary for this position is $26.61/hour to 34.60/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
