Job Description

This position is for an Upscale Security Officer through our security partner G4S Security Services.

SECURITY OFFICER:

General Purpose and Function:

The Security Officer is an integral role within the Security team, responsible for the overall customer service and access control for the company. The main function of the Security officer is to protect the assets of the client which includes people and property. The Security Officer represents the brand of the company and must demonstrate professionalism and customer service at all times, while also responding quickly and effectively to security needs.

Basic Requirements:
• Be at least 18 years old or minimum age required by the State (if higher)
• Be able to work flexible schedules, as needed
• Physical requirements: standing, sitting and extensive walking,

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:
• Pass State-required training or other qualifications set by the client/Site
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security Officer License issued by the State of California
• Must possess or be able to obtain certification in each of the following:
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• First Aid

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

A minimum of three plus (3+) years work history in a security role or customer service requiring direct customer and client interaction

Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors

Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public

Specific Duties and Essentials Responsibilities:
• Access Control - Control of access into company spaces and buildings
• Enforcing company established policies as related to security
• Understand and adhere to established SOP's
• Visitor Processing Management
• Answering phones as needed; Internal and external customer relations
• Perform site security patrols
• Observe, report, and investigate incidents along with responding to emergencies
• Provides assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Serves as key member of a site building/crisis response team
• Perform other duties as assigned by the vendor supervisor or manager in conjunction with the SIE security point of contact.
