We are looking for a talented developer to join us as a senior lighting artist within our Toronto team . In this role you will partner closely with our teams at our other studio locations in the United States and Australia in the creation of epic content for some of the biggest games in the world. Your Mission
As our newest teammate, you will work side by side with our Lighting Leads. Together, you will help execute some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in video games. You and our team will be accomplishing this by having routine 1:1s, weekly team meetings, you will have an in-depth training period, and open dialog / high communication with adjacent teams. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Create global and local lighting for game environments when taking into account the requirements of gameplay, game narrative and mood;
• Collaborate with different team members such as level, quest, and narrative designers to present the perfect visuals and the resulting player experience;
• Adjust in-game lighting according to the art directions and level design;
• Make use of blueprint to streamline lighting processes;
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
• At least 5 years working experience in lighting;
• Participated in the production of at least 1 shipped AAA games in lighting role;
• Familiarity with UE5 and 3D softwares , especially Lumen in UE5;
• Deep knowledge base in real world lighting, including the use color, source, brightness, composition, and shadow;
• In-depth knowledge of the latest developments in lighting tech, with experience in various lighting techniques and tools;
• Highly self-motivated, great communication skills and team spirit;
• Passion for the game industry.
