Sinclair's Spotlight on Maryland is seeking a Senior Producer to be responsible for the day-to-day content development and execution for digital, social, print and television. Spotlight on Maryland is an investigative team focusing on exclusive, innovative, hard hitting and high-impact accountability stories for every platform. The candidate will help lead a team of journalists. The position requires strong skills in journalism and leadership. The ability to help build a team, share a vision and execute a strategy are essential skills.The ideal candidate needs to be knowledgeable on Maryland news and politics. Must be able to write, produce and edit video.
The Senior Producer will work closely with an Executive Producer/Managing Editor to oversee coverage planning, content management, and operations.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong news judgment
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Be able to multitask and manage time to ensure content is produced for every platform; digital, social, print and television.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to execute news strategies and goals
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
• Understanding of non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
• Participate in regular content planning meetings.
• The position is located on-site in Hunt Valley, MD*
• Other duties as assigned
Experience:
• Must have previous news experience
• Experience leading a team at a commercial news operation
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
• A Journalism degree is preferred

**This is an in-office role, 5 days a week at our Sinclair Headquarters located at 10706 Beaver Dam Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21030.
The base salary compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
