Job Description
Sinclair, Inc. is looking for a Director of Production, Podcasts to lead the overall production direction for audio + video podcasting, related social, live events, and other digital-first content across the company. This role will spearhead end-to-end workflows, manage staff and scheduling, oversee budgeting, drive innovation, and lead production across a variety of outputs including on-set, remote, and live.
Ideal candidate has 10+ years production management experience across both long and short-form content within a variety of verticals. Attention to detail with an obsession for producing high quality content is key. What You'll Do:
• Oversee the creative and technical direction of all podcast productions (audio, video, social, live events) across multiple formats and verticals.
• Manage and mentor a team of producers, editors, sound designers, and technical staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting employee development
• Oversee both pre- and post-production processes, ensuring that each project is executed efficiently without compromising quality.
• Manage production scheduling to ensure all projects are fully staffed with the right talent, both in-house and freelance.
• Spearhead studio builds and remote recording setups across the country, both in-person and virtually. Collaborate with individual teams and talent to design clear plans.
• Own the production team's budget, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within defined budget tiers while maximizing efficiencies, quality, and output.
• Oversee content management and delivery processes, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration and timely delivery of projects.
• Lead the planning, production, and execution of live-streamed and in-person events, managing all technical aspects, budgeting, and coordination with vendors.
• Work closely with senior leadership and internal teams (marketing, sales, legal, accounting, facilities, engineering, and more) to ensure alignment on project goals and strategies.
• Stay up to date on the latest trends in audio, video, and social production to keep department ahead of the curve.
• Establish and enforce rigorous quality control standards for all content, ensuring exceptional output on every project.
• Proactively identify production challenges and implement solutions to avoid issues before they arise.
• Develop and maintain a production roadmap for upcoming projects, ensuring all milestones are met and projects are delivered on schedule.
• Occasional travel for studio builds, live events, and other project needs.
Who You Are:
• 10+ years of production management experience in audio, video, and live event production, with a proven track record of managing long-form and short-form content across multiple platforms.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing creative and technical teams.
• Deep understanding of high-level audio production (sound design) and video production workflows (pre-production, filming, post-production).
• Proficient with content management tools, production software, and digital platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, ProTools, Streamyard, LiveU, SonyCi, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in producing live-streamed and in-person events, including planning, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and logistical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively.
• A passion for high-quality content and an ability to translate creative ideas into successful, polished productions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
