The Simon & Schuster Associates Program is an eighteen-month rotational program designed to offer those that have a passion for book publishing but are not quite sure which career track to pursue, the opportunity to explore three different areas of interest. This is the equivalent of any entry level position within Simon & Schuster though there will be a learning element as well. Responsibilities will be similar to assistant positions within editorial, managing ed, marketing, publicity or sales.
To be considered you must have:
A bachelor's degree
Excellent communication and writing skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong time management skills
Ability to set priorities under pressure
Willingness to take initiative and to complete projects independently
Ability to think creatively and contribute ideas and concepts
Some work experience
A love of books

The annual salary for this position is $50,000.00 - $50,000.00
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
