Job Description

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Sr. Producer to join our Scripps News team in Atlanta, GA. This individual will work directly with the senior management to produce content and comes up with new and innovative ways to enhance the team's overall output.

What You'll Do:
• Supervise the team's creative goals and objectives developed with management to ensure consistent content and quality is executed by the creative staff.
• Help produce the best content possible within a set framework (budget, available resources and schedule).
• Review and approve story ideas during pre-production to ensure consistent creative and content execution
• Review and approve show outlines to ensure consistent creative and content execution
• Assist with expanding storylines and editorial calendar as well as assisting with development for programming
• Responsible for what goes on the air in terms of the primary content and how it is assembled; keeping the audience engaged and entertained.
• Communicate creative vision to team to help develop feature ideas providing outlines and synopsis and pitches story ideas.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:
• Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years' experience overseeing content production for a major market or national audience is preferred
• Previous production experience is preferred
