The E.W Scripps company is hiring an Analyst, Sales Research, and Insights. This individual will collaborate with the larger research organization, as well as the Sales, Marketing, and Distribution teams to provide network performance metrics, competitive advantages, ROI analyses and other compelling research stories. The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for the media industry and a hybrid skill set of both data analysis and storytelling ability. You must be a strategic thinker capable of transforming large data sets from multiple sources into actionable insights to be used effectively by our Sales team to drive revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret audience data (Nielsen, MRI, iSpot, etc.) for recurring sales reports and ad hoc requests.
• Synthesize information from multiple data sets into digestible insights to be used effectively by our Sales team to drive revenue.
• Develop a deep understanding of data to discern between actual performance issues and data integrity errors to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
• Proactively develop external facing materials for advertising clients (e-blasts, trade ads, etc.)
• Work with the marketing team to produce impactful ROI research analyses for brand partnerships.
• Partner with the design team to position research data in a creative, concise, and compelling manner.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of experience in a TV or Media research role
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Excellent personal computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong math and data analysis skills are necessary, along with the capability of transforming large data sets from multiple sources into actionable insights
• Experience with MRI-Simmons and various Nielsen systems, including National TV Toolbox (Nielsen MRI Fusion, R&F, etc.), NNTV, Ad Intel, and Nielsen Buyer Insights
• Familiarity with iSpot, Qualtrics, Cint, developing and executing primary/custom research studies a plus
• Solid written and verbal communication skills required. Able to effectively communicate and be comfortable presenting
• Strong data visualization skills needed. Also, the ability to give creative direction to the design team to create compelling sales materials
• Ability to work both independently and with a team, bringing strong organizational abilities, project management skills and impeccable attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and must be able to handle multiple assignments at once in a fast-paced environment
COMPENSATION RANGE:
Annual Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00
Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
