Art Director

Job Description

As the Art Director at ScanlineVFX, you will be responsible for leading the creative vision and artistic direction of the visual effects projects. You will work closely with the production team, VFX Supervisors, and Clients to ensure the successful execution of visually stunning and compelling visual effects.

Key Responsibilities
• Creates high-end character, environment, FX progression and/or vehicle concept art that creatively and technically inform VFX execution
• Collaborate with the production team, VFX Supervisors, and Clients to understand the creative vision and requirements for each project
• Oversee and Supervise the work of the Concept artists/Freelance artists, providing guidance, feedback, and creative direction to ensure the highest quality output
• Knowledge in creating cohesive design presentations for ongoing or upcoming projects
• Should have a general understanding of compositing, lighting and element generation
• Participate in client presentations and pitch meetings, effectively communicating the artistic vision and technical capabilities of the VFX team
• Maintain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of VFX production, including software, hardware, and industry standards
• Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence

Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Art Director or other closely related experience inside the creative digital industry (games, film, VFX etc.)
• Diverse portfolio showcasing your range of skills
• Should have exceptional drawing,illustration, painting, proportion, anatomy, composition, and perspective skills
• Proficient in the use of industry-standard VFX software, such as Photoshop and Zbrush skills (required)
• Excellent communication, time-management, organizational and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey the artistic vision to clients and stakeholders
• Experience in story-boarding is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong problem solving skills
• Passion for the art of visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail

• 진행 중이거나 진행 예정인 프로젝트를 위해 일관된 디자인 프레젠테이션을 제작하는 능력을 보유해야 합니다.
• VFX에서 합성, 조명 및 각 요소들을 생성하는 것에 대한 전반적인 이해를 갖추어야 합니다.
• 클라이언트 프레젠테이션 및 피치 회의에 참여하여 VFX팀의 예술적 비전과 기술적 역량을 효과적으로 전달합니다.
• 소프트웨어, 하드웨어 및 VFX 제작 및 업계의 기술적 측면에 대하여 깊이 이해해야 합니다.
• '혁신'과 '탁월성'을 위한 창의적고 협력적인 작업 환경을 조성합니다.

자격
• 창의적인 디지털 산업(VFX, 게임, 영화 등)에서 아트 디렉터 혹은 유사한 역할로 최소 4년 이상의 경험
• 다양한 기술력을 나타내는 포트폴리오 (필수)
• 뛰어난 드로잉, 일러스트레이션, 페인팅, 비율, 해부학, 구성 및 원근법 기술을 보유한 분
• 포토샵, Zbrush 등과 같은 VFX업계 소프트웨어를 능숙하게 다룰 수 있는 분 (필수)
• 탁월한 의사소통 능력, 시간 관리 능력, 조직 능력 및 프레젠테이션 능력을 갖추고 있으며, 예술적 비전을 클라이언트와 이해관계자들에게 효과적으로 전달할 수 있는 분을 찾습니다.
• 스토리보드 작업 경험자를 우대합니다.
• 최소한의 감독 하에 독립적으로 작업을 할 수 있는 능력과 강한 문제 해결 능력을 가진 분을 우대합니다.
• 시각적 스토리텔링 예술에 대한 열정과 세심한 관찰력을 가진 분을 찾습니다.
