Job Description
The Sacramento Kings are searching for a seasoned marketing professional to serve in the exciting role of Director of Marketing. This leadership position oversees programs that drive brand interest, fan engagement, and revenue. The person in this role should be a master collaborator, managing key internal relationships for Marketing with departments including Global Partnerships, Digital, Entertainment, Retail, Social Responsibility, and Tech Ops, as well as external relationships with vendors and agency partners. They will have a proven track record of aligning stakeholders and translating business objectives into successful marketing plans. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for fan development, motivated by the opportunity to nurture individuals from a variety of segments toward greater engagement. As a strategic thought partner with the VP, of Marketing, they will help lead the team, grow the global Kings fanbase, and reach our business goals.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Manage and mentor direct reports. Collaborate with the VP, Marketing and two Director-level peers within the department to set strategies, operate the department, and connect the dots across the organization to uncover new opportunities.
• Liaise between internal department clients and our award-winning team of designers. Translate business objectives into thoughtful creative briefs and manage the process via Asana.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner with the Global Partnerships team to help develop opportunities that can generate revenue and be mutually beneficial to the team and partner brands. Leverage partnerships to generate fan engagement. Help ensure cobranded programs maintain brand standards.
• Drive collaboration among stakeholders for themed games, fan giveaways, and experiences that create unforgettable moments for our guests. Support the creative needs of our Sacramento Kings Dancers, mascot, and other Entertainment team requests.
• Lead initiatives to grow and engage the universe of Kings fans. Use technology, data, and understanding of market trends to create innovative programs and personalized experiences that grow fandom.
• Collaborate with Digital, Content, Retail, and Social Responsibility teams to develop internal content, implement marketing initiatives, and maintain brand consistency across digital channels.

• Understanding of marketing technologies and improving user experiences (email, web, app, loyalty)
• Ability to synthesize marketing plans and deliver reports that identify key results and opportunities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year College or university in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of marketing experience, ideally with a team, agency, or consumer brand, with 3+ years in a leadership role
Compensation:
The base salary range for this exempt role is $100,000 - $110,000 + 10% annual discretionary bonus. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
