Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Director to oversee the brand partnerships for Rolling Stone Live. The ideal candidate will have remarkable talent and enthusiasm for sponsorship and sales, coupled with strategic foresight and a proven track record in this field. This role will sell integrated programs and lead partnerships efforts for our live events and work closely with the RS sales team across our digital, video, social, and print platforms.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who has relationships with key brands across multiple facets. They must have deep experiential and live event experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, be a creative thinker, and energetic seller who is confident and comfortable calling on all levels at both the client and the agency level.

Rolling Stone, an iconic storytelling platform, works closely with partners to bring their brand message to life through photo, video, live events & custom content. The sales team works closely with marketing, events & branded content studio to ideate and deliver best-in-class programs integrating brand voice into authentic Rolling Stone edit features. Success comes from creative thinking, problem solving, and above all a deep understanding of clients, product categories, industry trends, audience insights and user behaviors.
• 6-8 years live event-first sales experience with proven ability to close at a high rate
• Relationships with experiential agency and brand side clients in key verticals.
• Ability to create big ideas and drive sales across all platforms
• Ability to call on all stakeholders, including client, agency, social and PR teams
• Approach clients with a solution-based approach
• Ability to grow business and develop new revenue and product opportunities
• Perform well in a competitive and collaborative environment
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation and presentation skills a must
• Must be flexible and move with a high sense of urgency when opportunities strike
• Be proactive and prepare proposals via the RFP process
• Maintain constant contact with client before, during, and after the sale to establish and positively manage/grow the business relationship
• Experience with media, content platform or publishing side brands is a plus

Typical wage range: $120,000 - $150,000 + Commission

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
