Your New Role…
Rocksteady Studios is looking for a talented Junior Technical Artist to join our Environment Tech Art team. We are looking for someone who thrives on tackling technical challenges, has an eagle-eye for spotting inefficiencies & a proven passion for problem solving.
You will be working directly with other Technical artists and the environment team in providing technical solutions. There are plenty of opportunities to learn from senior developers and grow your skills in this role.
The Environment Tech Team sits under our general Tech umbrella, working closely alongside the Tech Anim, & Asset Tech Art Teams. All amazing people of various backgrounds, truly passionate about tech and real time game development.
This is a permanent position with good possibilities in career growth.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Develop technical solutions for the environment art team.
• Maintain existing technical solutions & improve them where necessary.
• Provide day to day support for the Art and Tech teams.
• Provide necessary support to other team members to enable them to complete their tasks in an efficient & consistent manner.
Qualifications & Experience…
• Knowledge of the Unreal Engine toolset.
• Experience in creating and maintaining blueprint solutions.
• Understanding of 3D Math functions (linear algebra & vector maths) for real time graphics.
• A strong artistic ability, shown preferably within real-time game engines.
• Experience in creating shaders using the Unreal material editor.
• Game development related coding or scripting experience.
Bonus Points:
• Professional experience as a technical artist.
• Experience in creating Procedural tools with Houdini.
• Experience using profiling tools for performance reviews and optimisations.
