The Audio Discipline at Riot strives to deliver lasting sonic experiences for players. We help breathe life into our games, cinematics, esports, albums, and more through the use of sound. We are always working to level up the crafts & techniques by experimenting and playing the games we love.
As a Senior Composer on Audio Services you'll report to the Sr. Manager of Audio Services and be responsible for writing and arranging music for linear, broadcast, and live media spanning across all music genres.
You will collaborate with other composers, product owners and developers to write iconic themes and memorable arrangements, capturing the essence of each product you will be working on. You will collaborate closely with cross-team partners on projects, ensuring our Central Creative vision is upheld and executed to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Esports broadcast production to create and adapt new and existing music for worldwide broadcast and live events that enhances the goals of the project.
• Create music for linear content like trailers and other publishing materials.
• Collaborate with Esports, Entertainment, and external partners to determine music vision, goals, and objectives that inform and support the product/teams vision.
• Work with product leadership to determine and manage milestones, schedule, vendors, priorities, and work output for an entire product.
• Provide on-site consultation for adaptation of created music towards live events needs (must be able to travel internationally).
• Collaborate with Entertainment, external artists, and other teams on cross-product projects and campaigns.
• Collaborate with composers, sound designers, video, publishing, regional and other teams to ensure thematic consistency across related products
• Manage outsource partners for asset creation and delivery.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in music composition
• Craft expertise in music composition and production across a wide variety of genres
• Deep understanding of the tools and techniques required for composing and producing the highest professional quality bar of music (DAWs, Sample Libraries, Plugins)
• Knowledge of the holistic game audio process and how music can be leveraged in the interactive and linear space
Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of musical precedents set in Riot's games and media, and trends in broader gaming

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $102,000.00 - $143,200.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
