As a Principal User Experience Designer on League of Legends, you'll lead design efforts in a high-impact, high-complexity product space, tackling ambiguous and challenging problems. . Your work will span end-to-end experience design, shaping multiple interconnected features-often across teams-to elevate the player experience. From vision and concepting to final implementation, you'll drive design excellence while collaborating closely with your fellow designers and cross-discipline partners.You will report to the Design Lead of the project..
Responsibilities:
• Work on UX designs across multiple workstreams, focusing on the interaction design and player flows for these areas
• Deliver appropriate level of design artifacts for the team (e.g., Strategy articulation, discovery / research results, journey maps, flows, wireframes, mockups and/or prototypes)
• Communicate your data-informed vision and design rationale to the team and stakeholders.
• Break down experiences thoughtfully for teams to ship value incrementally (i.e., Minimum loveable experience), making appropriate trade-offs between features, player needs, and scope
• Establish experiential quality metrics and interaction consistency across player-facing systems
Required Qualifications:
• 6+ years industry experience, having led significant portions of the UX for at least one shipped AAA game title or major release of a consumer-facing digital product
• Understanding of different game patterns across action, strategy, and RPG genres
• Experience with UI prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD
• Experience designing in-game or around-game UX systems
• Ability to plan and estimate UX efforts for projects
Desired Qualifications:
• 8+ years industry experience, having led significant portions of the UX for at least one shipped AAA game title or major release of a consumer-facing digital product
• Experience working in a lead UX role.
• Experience with meta-game design, such as progression, competitive, and monetization systems.

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $206,700.00 - $289,000.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
