Job Description
Riot's Internal Comms team members endeavor to shape our internal environment by crafting communication plans, programs, and moments that celebrate Riot's playful, informal, and passionate culture. We strive to communicate with a balance of transparency and clarity that's smart, well-crafted, and authentic. We cover everything vital to internal messaging and work across all teams to create a passionate and ongoing, lively, two-way conversation between Riot and Rioters on the issues that matter most to players and to us. We love games and enjoy telling the emotionally resonant stories that connect us to players and our mission.

As an Internal Comms Strategist supporting VAL, R&D, and 2XKO, you'll help Rioters on those teams stay informed about what's happening in their products and around Riot. You'll work with identified partners to execute on comms plans and programs that support priority initiatives, changes, or milestone cultural moments. You'll master Riot's voice and internal channels, helping us to strategically think about when and where we message things to Rioters across a variety of platforms. You'll know and understand what's happening across the org and surface stories that matter to the company and Riot's culture.

Responsibilities:
• Support in the execution of communication plans and strategies for our VALORANT, R&D, and 2XKO that balance, and address, both business goals and Rioter needs
• Execute on deliverables and other areas of opportunity where communication tools, frameworks, or channels for our products can be improved for Rioters globally
• Cultivate relationships with partners across VALORANT, R&D, and 2XKO, and find opportunities to improve engagement and trust with our partner's products and business operations from an internal communication perspective
• Help develop, refine, and execute on the project management of Town Halls and other team meetings for our partners.
• Support various internal comms projects as priorities change, whether it's strategizing on a messaging plan, addressing a crisis comms moment, or executing on a Riot event
• Keep a finger on the pulse of Riot, surfacing stories and campaigns that reflect who we are, what we care about, and what we need to know as a company
• Build an authentic relationship with Rioters through transparent, thoughtful, and resonant messaging that's certified 100% bullshit-free

Required Qualifications:
• You've been working within the comms space serving internal and/or external audiences for at least 2 years; ideally within the tech or entertainment industry
• You have a diverse comms toolkit that you use to execute in any medium required
• You exercise great discretion as it relates to confidential and sensitive information
• You have a baseline understanding current trends in the internal comms space
• You know how to measure the impact and resonance of your work
• You're tilt-proof, and can flexibly respond to sensitive situations in an assuring manner
• You manage your time well and are able to balance multiple deliverables while continuing to make progress
• You are flexible and willing to adapt in your approach to both work and collaboration

Desired Qualifications
• Experience working with tech or creative entertainment companies
• Passion for gaming or empathy for the player experience is a huge plus!

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!
