Job Description
As the Head of Anti-Cheat at Riot Games, you will be responsible for leading the fight against cheating on behalf of Riot and our players. Cheating ruins games, harms player trust, and compromises competitive integrity, and you're passionate about guiding the Anti-Cheat strategy and product vision, as well as overseeing operational excellence for the entire Anti-Cheat group. You will be accountable for direct management of the internal leadership layer of Anti-Cheat, as well as indirect management of every developer in the group. You will play a key role in defining organizational constructs and processes that will make Anti-Cheat successful - both in its current state, and as it scales to protect all of Riot's upcoming games.

Through effective communications, and by establishing trust and meaningful relationships throughout the entire organization, you will establish Riot-wide clarity around Anti-Cheat's vision, and drive alignment across game teams and other central teams regarding efforts that will enhance and reinforce the effectiveness of our proprietary Anti-Cheat solution, Vanguard.

Given the technical nature of the group's work, and the challenges associated with centralizing capabilities that game teams consider mission critical, a successful candidate combines a strong technical background with broad organizational, managerial, and operational experience. Strong communication and relationship skills are a must.

The Anti-Cheat group is part of Riot's Game Technology Group, and as such you will report to the Director of the Game Technology Group.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and evangelize (both internally to the group and externally to Riot) Riot's multi-year product vision for Anti-Cheat
• Organize the Anti-Cheat group to effectively work towards that vision while maintaining operational effectiveness against the current cheating landscape
• Establish trusted relationships with stakeholders: game teams, other central teams, and company leadership such as the CTO
• Hold the Anti-Cheat team to a high bar for professionalism, dependability, transparency, and meaningful relationships throughout the organization
• Manage and grow an internal leadership bench within Anti-Cheat, and through them your entire organization
• Define Anti-Cheat's metrics for success, track them, and adjust processes and/or the organization as necessary to meet or exceed goals
• Navigate ambiguous problem spaces and provide opinionated solutions

Required Qualifications:
• Deep knowledge of the Anti-Cheat space: how cheating works, what attack vectors are common for different genres, how to conduct threat research
• 10+ years experience managing (at least) a mid-sized technical product development organization, including live support teams
• 10+ years experience architecting and developing large scale, public-facing applications
• 10+ years experience managing complex projects that span multiple organizations/vendors
• Comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization
• Extraordinary communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge, and excellent, collaborative problem-solving skills

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about the experiences of players, this could be the role for you!
Our Perks:

Riot has a focus on work/life balance, shown by our open paid time off policy, in addition to other perks such as flexible work schedules. We offer medical, dental, and life insurance, parental leave for you, your spouse/domestic partner and children, and a 401k with company match. Check out our benefits pages for more information.

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $226,600.00 - $339,900.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
