The Riot Legal team has the responsibility to constantly provide the highest quality legal services that fully align with Riot's company mission of putting players first. Figuring out what's ''best for the company'' always begins with thinking about what's ''best for players.'' Every policy or contract that we draft; every lawsuit that we file or defend against; every letter we send; and all the legal advice that we give to our business partners, must always be done with our players' interests in mind.
As Counsel (Corporate), reporting to the Managing Counsel, you will provide outstanding legal advice to help Riot get to the next level. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple functions on a wide range of corporate matters, including corporate governance, structure and inter-company arrangements, and M&A and other strategic transactions, with the opportunity to grow and evolve depending on your interests and the business's needs. You will have a meaningful role on the corporate legal team and the opportunity to develop professionally in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a variety of complex agreements, including agreements with our vendors and partners, and potential investment/M&A opportunities.
• Implement a range of inter-company matters for Riot and its domestic and international subsidiaries.
• Evaluate different risk factors regarding our decisions and operations.
• Provide strategic advice to senior management and teams relating to legal risks and compliance requirements.
• Work with the global Legal team to protect the interests of Riot and its players.
Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience as a corporate/transactional attorney at a reputable law firm or company.
Desired Qualifications:
• Interest in working at or with a major video game publisher.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!
