Job Description
The Account Manager will help increase Sportico's commercial revenue through the development and execution of live event sponsorships and campaign activations for clients. The coordinator will work across all Sportico's platforms, including digital, live media, events, and more, to deliver best-in-class solutions for partners, working in tandem with the sales, marketing, events and editorial teams through the pre-and post-sale process. In addition, the coordinator will work on-site at the events, assisting the Sr. Event Marketing Director and team with various responsibilities important to the seamless execution of Sportico's live events. This position will be based in New York City.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Sr. Director – Sales & Partnerships, Sr. Director – Event Marketing, Marketing Manager and Chief Revenue Officer.
• Create and execute RFPs for clients by generating activation concepts, writing and designing proposals, and following up when needed
• Work with clients and their agencies (if applicable) to ensure all deliverables are sent and received, and ensure smooth execution of program
• Develop sales materials, including case studies and post-sale sponsorship recaps
• Collaborate with Data, Sales and Ad Ops teams to supplement proposals with competitive research and data
• Research and present new and unique marketing strategies to keep Sportico a top-of-mind partner
• Coordinate sponsors' activation logistics and provide support for Sportico Live Media and Events team. This may include:
• Assisting with event website maintenance and management
• Assisting in creation of marketing graphics and onsite event graphics
• Sponsor asset collection (headshots, bio's, sponsor logos)
• Create sponsor workback schedules/timeline
• Route any necessary visuals, additional pricing info, etc. to clients
• Provide on-site support for clients / sponsors
• Event check-in lead
• Assist with event follow-ups and thank you communications
Requirements:
• 2-4 years of event/marketing experience, working with a publisher, agency, sports property or company
• Relevant experience in sports marketing is a plus
• Ability to provide exceptional client service to both internal and external teams
• Demonstrated high level of critical thinking and problem solving
• Must be a self-starter with strong multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills in front of internal teams and clients
• Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail
• Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Typical wage range: $65k - $70k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
