Sourcing Journal: Senior Content Manager

Job Description

Sourcing Journal Media is looking for a Senior Content Manager to assist the editor in chief with management of three annual events, multiple smaller initiatives during the year and new concepts for the business. The role will also work closely with the events, marketing and sales teams to bring the concepts to fruition. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience covering the related industries of sourcing and apparel with a B2B background preferred. Candidate must be a self-starter, and a curious and inquisitive critical thinker. Must be extremely comfortable and proficient in a digital publishing environment, as well as able to oversee the execution of multipronged, high-revenue events.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overseeing all project management related to events
• Cultivate relationships with industry executives to use for speakers at events
• Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on event programs
• Oversee program ideation, planning, project timelines, run of show and program execution
• Liaise with the events team on all event logistics and the editorial team on programming related needs
• Work closely with marketing and sales to ideate and brand-new products
• Attend events on behalf of the company as needed

Requirements:
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
• Experience working with editorial, sales, creative and marketing teams
• Excellent project management
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to problem solve
• Strategic and analytical thinker with excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Flexible, self-motivated individual with an appetite to work in an entrepreneurial environment
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and multitask

Typical wage range: $90k - $110k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
