Gold Derby: Video & Photo Editor

Gold Derby, the pre-eminent source of awards news and predictions, is hiring a Video & Photo Editor to be based in Los Angeles. The Video and Photo Editor will work with our editorial team to create, edit, and package content into dynamic short-form video and graphics. The ideal candidate should have a track record of editing high-production value content for social and video platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, and Facebook.

Responsibilities:
• Edit high-quality videos for our website and social platforms, including interviews, red carpet footage and other content created by the editorial team
• Select, curate, and edit high-quality images for our website and social platforms, including newsletters and external-facing materials
• Manage media storage and organization of all raw materials and finished projects
• Manage multiple edits and ensure on-time delivery
• Create and maintain image guidelines for the editorial team

Requirements:
• Candidates must be based in Los Angeles and be willing to work 4 days out of our LA office
• 2-3 years of experience editing, creating and managing digital video and photos
• Experience working in an entertainment or news environment
• A track record of producing premium, high-quality video for large-scale audiences
• Fluency and proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for film, television, and awards
• Ability to shoot photos and video is a plus

As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.

Typical wage range: $68,700 - $70,000. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
