Operations Data Analyst - Technical (9 Month FTC)

Role overview:

The Operations Analyst role sits within the Operations team within the Strategic Analytics vertical of Global Marketing, Sales, and Business Operations Organisation. The role will help to establish and grow a Centre of Excellence, that provides expert advice, support, and guidance to the wider Strategy team on Operations data. The role will also contribute operations analytics support to various other functions, driving innovation, and sharing knowledge across the group.

The successful candidate will be a key member in optimising the wider Operations data strategy and driving harmonised reporting that maximises SIE's IT supported platforms and tools. They will collaborate closely within their team to identify areas for; change or enhancement, new data / reporting requirements and ensure that priorities and key projects are delivered in an efficient manner.

The role will also provide opportunity to improve operational data literacy in general, empowering business users in their use and understanding of our reporting and analytics tools.

What you'll be doing:
• Support the development of a suite of reporting solutions to cater for the different needs and requirements of end users.
• Optimise existing reporting tool processes in place with enhancements and automation.
• Create new engineering solutions (ETL processes)
• Collaborate within the team to determine a prioritisation of new developments.
• Provide clear and concise updates to the team leads to support wider knowledge share of Operations data.
• Support ad-hoc analytics and reporting requests from the wider Strategy team on Operations data, helping users to develop greater insights from the reporting solutions.
• Contribute towards team meetings and forums to evangelise the data narrative behind operations.

What we're looking for:
• Demonstrable experience in developing data and analytics projects in global organisations ideally within the entertainment industry.
• 3+ years' experience working with global reporting and analytics tools and solutions (SAP, BW, Tableau, Snowflake, Qlik, DOMO etc).
• Additional experience in writing SQL, Python would be a big plus
• Ability to work with both business and technical teams on understanding and delivering data and insights (requirements and solutions).
• Dynamically support business goals and objectives in the reporting and analytics space
• Ability to communicate complex or highly technical subjects in a concise and articulate way to colleagues across all levels of the organisation and with varying skills.
