Join PlayStation as a Manager, Software Engineering - Build & Tools and lead a hardworking team focused on improving the efficiency of our developers. This role is crucial in ensuring that PlayStation engineers have seamless experiences with the tools and services that are essential to their work. You will have the chance to work with various tech stacks and platforms, from PS4/PS5 to Web, Mobile, and PC, and play a key role in crafting the future of our innovative developer tooling.

Job Responsibilities
• Partner with other PlayStation leaders to establish and drive developer efficiency benchmarks.
• Empower the engineering team, and others in the organization, to achieve a high level of technical efficiency, reliability, and simplicity.
• Guide and drive the development of build and deployment tools, to scale and accelerate our software release processes.
• Recruit great engineers, collaborating closely with PlayStation's recruiting team.
• Help engineers advance in their careers and develop new skills.
• Contribute to organization-wide initiatives as a member of PlayStation's engineering management team.

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience building tools that are used daily by other developers (e.g. CI, build support).
• A passion for improving developer performance.
• Proven track record of successfully recruiting and building great teams.
• Ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
• Clear and persuasive writing and in-person interpersonal kills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience leading teams that crafted and operated critical infrastructure, especially with a comprehensive scope encompassing core capabilities, builds, and quality.
• Having a deep understanding of developer needs and the ability to build groundbreaking solutions rather than solely improving existing ones.
• Comfortable planning in quarters and setting a long-term vision.
• Passionate about collaborating with teammates across PlayStation's organization to provide a world-class user experience for key developer workflows.
• Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams (JP, PST, EST timezones).
