Director, Executive Communications

Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking for a Director, Executive Communications to join the Communications team at our global headquarters in San Mateo, CA. This position will provide the opportunity to shape executive and corporate communications for the PlayStation brand across multiple channels and audiences.
The Director, Executive Communications will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications and support developing strategies to highlight innovation, creativity, and culture within one of the world's leading entertainment companies! This is a great opportunity to help lead strategy and execution for executive communications and requires skills acquired through experience working in a complex corporate environment. This role will manage the company's internal executive communications while also contributing expertise to external executive communications including speaking opportunities, blog posts, and press interviews.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a senior communications role, with experience in developing and implementing executive communications plans, creating and distributing communications materials, and managing events such as Town Halls.

Responsibilities
• Be a proven diplomat with exceptional interpersonal skills, presence, and professionalism
• Demonstrate excellent understanding and thinking across multiple areas of the business
• Develop and implement SIE's executive internal communications strategy
• Create and distribute executive communications materials, including speeches, presentations, and articles
• Track and measure the effectiveness of initiatives
• Manage events including Town Halls
• Research and develop new creative communications channels for both internal and external messaging
• Produce high quality work in a high pressure environment
• Ensure deliverables are consistent with the communications strategy, plan and budget, with measurable impact on the organization's results
• Understand and participate in Communications team best practices, ensuring high standards of collaboration and quality work product, consistently and effectively
• Create and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with SIE's values
• Be flexible and manage other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
• 12+ years of experience in executive communications in a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of executive communications standard processes
• PR agency experience
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$198,200 - $297,200 USD
