Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: GERMANY/UK hybrid working

Reports To: CTO

Purpose

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning and coordinating IT projects, resources and budgets. They will monitor and report on project status updates and make sure there is clear communication with key stakeholders for the delivery and implementation outputs. The individual will have an opportunity to review, set up and implement processes.

Responsibilities:
• Proactively lead communication between IT, pipeline and production to understand project requirements to allow success and efficient delivery of a production.
• Work with the Senior team to prioritize tasks within the global technology departments ensuring that the development team are aligned with highest priorities, and that the requirements are clearly defined to all teams.
• Ensure meetings are scheduled with clear definitions for the stakeholders- responsible, accountable, informed and consulted.
• Implement a delivery methodology.
• Assign appropriate resource- resource management/allocation and adapting where necessary based on wider business requirements
• Facilitate team meetings to translate production requirements into specific technical solutions/outcomes to deliver show needs.
• Plan and coordinate teams to lead delivery of technology related activities
• Set up workflows, processes and structure for project management, review and analysis.
• Procurement of technology at the request of the CTO.  
• KPI metrics to be reported to management with an aim to highlight any risks, issues and opportunities.

Requirements
• Previous project management experience leading technical teams and assigning teams/resource management.
• Experience of working in the VFX/Animation/Games industry desirable but not essential.
• Good organizational and communication skills (fluent business English is mandatory while German is desired but optional).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Project management software experience.
• Experience of working to tight deadlines in a busy environment
• Good knowledge of IT, infrastructure and operations.
• PM methodology experience- agile working desirable but not essential.
• Previous team lead/management experience.
• A desire to create a positive working experience for others and key contributor to creating a positive team working, collaborative environment.
• Previous experience in resource management/allocation and adapting strategies based requirements
