Creative Technology Generalist, Innovation Lab (4-month Contract)

Pixomondo is seeking a highly skilled and Creative Technology Generalist to join our innovation team. This role is pivotal in driving our content creation to new heights by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including Unreal Engine and generative AI tools. It is a blend of creative and technical skills capable of taking on various roles traditionally filled by specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong compositing background, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for experimenting with new content creation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leverage Unreal Engine, generative AI and advanced tools to craft visually captivating and high-quality content for diverse media platforms, including VR/AR, transmedia, and gaming.
• Visualize, build, animate and render detailed scenes with a strong background in compositing.
• Optimize scenes to meet project specifications while maintaining visual excellence.
• Conduct R&D on cutting-edge techniques for real-time visuals, consistently exploring and experimenting with emerging technologies.
• Create and document innovative workflows to streamline and enhance the efficiency of content production.
• Collaborate closely with the innovation team and other departments to integrate new tools and workflows into ongoing projects.
• Ensure all content adheres to the highest standards of quality and creativity.

Requirements:
• 4+ years of industry experience with Unreal Engine or other real-time applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce).
• Strong skills in designing, modeling (both hard surface and organic), lighting, animation, and creating real-time CGFX.
• Solid technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize production workflows.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive attitude toward learning and experimenting with new technologies.
• Self-motivated and independent, able to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Adaptable and able to improvise when project goals shift, with a forward-thinking mindset.

Bonus Skills:
• Experience with procedural workflows (e.g., Houdini, Substance Designer) is a plus.
• Experience working with DCC software like Maya, Blender etc.
• Knowledge of Python API.
• Proficient in Unreal's Blueprint system; experience with C++ is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Real-Time Virtual Camera technology / Mocap experience
