Job Description
Bertelsmann Global Business Services operating through Penguin Random House is seeking an experienced Credit Card Associate to join their team. Under general Supervision, can perform a variety of clerical duties while utilizing basic accounting skills within the Credit Card realm. Assists in the preparation of reports, verifies information and processes manual credit card payments.This position provides an opportunity to work with various clients while handling responsibilities such as:
• Responsible for working alongside Credit Card Associates to perform the daily online process of all Credit Card reporting while utilizing several systems such as: Chase, AMEX, HighRadius, SAP, Orbital Gateway
• Assist in research of chargeback disputes
• Acts as liaison for General Inquiry communications with both internal and external business areas that requires research and follow ups within the shared Credit Card Mailbox
• Knowledge in identifying that all steps being taken are within PCI Compliance guidelines, being able to hand off more complex cases for review to a Senior Assoc or above
• Effective communication with other business areas throughout PRH that may manage other aspects of the credit card process
• Responsible for reviewing department procedures for accuracy
• Meets established departmental objectives
Further tasks may be assigned within the frame of the profile. Based on business/department needs, the following specific job duties may be assigned:
• Assist with special Credit Card handling projects based on skill
• Month End Credit Card Reporting to include: Downgrade Analysis, TD Breakdown, Chargeback Recons and Downloads of Co 21 and 45
• May be called upon to assist with audit requests
• Assists to ensure proper record retention of credit card documentation
The ideal candidate has:
• 1-3 Years Credit Card and/or accounting experience
• Basic Excel Skills – 75% or higher
• Strong math, computer and analytical skills
• PC Proficiency to include Word, Excel and Outlook
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to set priorities and manage daily workflow
• Ability to effectively advise management of problems/issues
• Organized and detail oriented
Experience and Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' Credit Card and/or accounting experience.
This position may have the opportunity to work remotely.
The salary range for this position is $40-42,000 per year. Additional compensation may beawarded annually contingent upon the company's results, and at the sole disrection of the company.
Based on experience, this could be open to a Senior Associate.
