Associate Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description

We're the PBS Innovation Team, a small R&D team responsible for big projects. We're hiring a Junior Engineer to build machine learning tools that improve PBS content and distribution. For this role, ''build'' means:
• Write Python code: ex. PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Query Data: ex. SQL query Athena connected to Redshift

What You Have:

You've developed machine learning applications. You've worked on a team that created interactive prototypes using research and design thinking methods. You've demonstrated the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and apply them at work.

Come Work With Us:

This role sits on an innovation team who is grant funded for a three-year term. We collaborate closely with fellow Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Fundraising, and Business Intelligence team members to conceptualize, design and develop groundbreaking interactive experiences across PBS core products, platforms, and services for audiences and member stations.

You should be local enough to the Arlington, VA area to come into the office at least two times a week. From hardware-specific prototypes to brainstorming sessions, a lot of our team's work benefits from in-person interactions.
