Paramount Technology is hiring a Senior Director of Engineering for its End User Technology & Experience (EUT) Group! The EUT team focuses on delivering engaging, simple and intuitive experiences, as well as adoption and change programs to boost employee efficiency, collaboration, automation, AI, transformation, and engagement at enterprise scale and provide continuous improvement.

This role reports into the SVP, End User Technology and is seen as an Architect and Strategist who will be responsible for all the technology stacks in the End User Technology department, some of which include - Slack, Zoom, SharePoint, Power Apps, Web, Drupal, APIs, AI, Automations and many other SaaS/PaaS products.

This role will manage a team of Engineers, DevOps and QA to make sure our platforms, technology stack and roadmaps are crafted for scalability, reliability and compliance for a growing number of applications on existing and new platforms that support essential, high-visibility business operations across a diverse global audience.

This role is perceived as a pivotal contact within the Paramount Technology division by the Customer, influencing and effectively handling customer needs. It requires demonstrating inherent leadership qualities to influence multi-functional teams and senior engineering leadership. Building meaningful connections and fostering collaboration and trust are fundamental aspects of this role!

Responsibilities:
• Define and set strategic goals for the engineering team, aligning them with the overall objectives.
• Lead a team of engineers across various technology stacks and career paths.
• Define engineering, DevOps & QA standards and practices and reporting metrics.
• Craft a unified engineering culture and direction for the team.
• Play a pivotal role in technology assessments, POCs; prioritization, planning, design, quality standards.
• Partner with product management and operations to ensure requirements are being built towards goals and achievements.
• Responsible for budget planning across capital projects and Opex
• Ensure contractors and vendors are delivering on standards and within SLA
• First point of contact for issues and outages; follows up with updates and RCA
• Understand and convert complex business requirements into digestible design and architecture specifications.
• Guide engineers and technology collaborators on solution requirements, solution methods, and ability to articulate benefits and risks to choose the best near/long-term solution.
• Documentation of solution or approach comparisons, high-level stack/systems/applications diagrams and specifications. Guide engineering leads on technical design and low-level specifications, review code and offer mentorship and recommendations for improvement
• Support of custom applications and vendor products
• Collaborate with partners as required to deliver technical updates and effectively communicates with non-technical audiences as necessary.
• Manage EUT's 3rd Party Engineering vendors in partnership with Paramount VMO. Build relationships, make resourcing decisions, facilitate contracts/SOWs

Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years managing a team of engineers and experience in Software Engineering, including both at individual contributor and Engineering Leadership levels
• 7+ years in DevOps, automation pipelines and QA processes
• 8+ years experience with Microsoft framework and stack (Sharepoint, Power Apps) and web technologies (Drupal, HTML, React, Javascript) and SaaS/PaaS, Identity Providers (Okta, AAD), Workflow Engines and Integration Services (Zapier, Slack, MuleSoft, Power Automate, AWS and Azure)

Additional Qualifications:
• Demonstrates expertise in assessment of Paramount's business and technology needs and formulation of strategy, design, and implementation plans to achieve objectives.
• Provide solution and design approach comparisons and reasoning. Document high level stack/systems/application design diagrams and specifications. Guide and review low level design by lead engineers
• Proficient in SDLC, CI/CD and project implementation methodologies. Sets and enforces development and testing standards for their team.
• Coordinate engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Expert in Microsoft O365 Stack, Data Integration Services, Workflow and Automation Frameworks and engines, CMS and Web (Front-end, back-end) Technology, and other related or adjacent systems and technologies.
• Experience in using SaaS collaboration tools and custom integrations, custom applications, automations, and deployments.
• Lead Architectural solutioning across the Enterprise Solutions portfolio, collaborating with teams like Identity, Cloud Engineering, Hosting, InfoSec to ensure standards are followed.
• Ability to architect systems applying various foundation IOT services including automation pipelines, cloud infrastructure & hosting, Identity Management, Video streaming, DAM/MAM integrations, CDNs, monitoring and Business Intelligence
• Design and support self-service automation frameworks (Azure function apps, pipelines) and Workflow Orchestration
• Understanding of AI/ML with a focus on generative AI search & synthesis across disparate sources, foundation models and LLMs, processing of large data sets (vector)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $205,000.00 - 225,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
